Sometimes, we often find that words or advise come out from the people around us may not be what we wanted to listen or is against our will. Believe me or not, after going through incidents and hardship myself, I have learned that those words and advise that I did not wanted to listen came true and if I have taken that advise from the very first day, I could have handled that problem in a different way or certain bad things could have been avoided.
I realized that it is common for people to have different views. What we see in our eyes may not be the same as what others saw. An object has different views from different angles and it is whether you have the ability to view or visualize what may be the outcome from each particular angle.
These words or advise may at times come to us not in a favourable way and therefore, our heart at that moment, may not be able to agree to whatever others may have to say. If we tend to be too emotional, our heart tends to close up the door and refuse to listen to anything. That is why we need to have an open heart.
Do not always be stubborn with your own views. Try putting your leg in other people's shoes. What you see may not be what you think and therefore, do not jump to conclusion as the outcome may surprise you along the way.

Thinking too much or not thinking at all
Wednesday, 9 October 2019
He always tell his wife, people are either thinking too much or not thinking at all. If someone is thinking too much, he is just trying to be smart but on the contrary, when you are not thinking, you are just being stupid.
Either way, when you are trying to be smart when you are not, you looked stupid anyway. So just don't try to act smart.
Be smart, act stupid and don't let others know you are smart. That's the best way to survive.

Bruce Lee - Water
Monday, 11 June 2019
A lesson from Bruce Lee. He quoted:
"Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; you put water in a bottle, it becomes a bottle; you put water in a teapot, it becomes a teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash."
This quote was thought by his father too, quoted what Bruce Lee said.
In short, he has learned that one has to be as flexible as possible. Regardless of being put in any condition, circumstances, situation, scenarios, he is able to survive. To also apply the principle of water, he has learned to be as open minded as possible. He is not skeptical of learning. If you never have a open mind to learn everything, you will not able to absorb and apply knowledge to everything you do.

What is education?
Thursday, 3 October 2019
What is the purpose of education?
Let's not micro manage the process. Your usual 3 years of kindergarten, 6 years of primary school, 5 years of secondary school, 3 years for getting a diploma and so forth.
Let's not even talk about whether you went to private college or a local university. Especially in Malaysia, graduating from a private college versus a local university make a hell lot of difference when you enter the working world.
So, what is the purpose of education?
I have learned that most importantly, education serves 2 main purpose. First, is to impart knowledge. Second, is character building.
The first part is mostly thought in school. In today's world, Mathematics, Science and Technology forms the basic of knowledge. The world is evolving everyday. Technology has become more and more advance in a blink of eye. The engineering course that you picked up 10 years ago may or may not be relevant anymore as scientist develops new and more advance technology everyday.
The second part is mostly taught at home. Your parents, family teaching, culture, race, religion, forms your character in a certain way. The question is what kind of values that you are being taught, that you practice, or implement, that makes you a better person, that forms the character that is able to bring you closer to success. Values such as hardworking, failure is the mother to success, perseverance, being independent etc, builds the root of your character so that whatever you do is being appreciated and create values in you that brings your life journey to a different level.
There is so much more to learn about education. Impart knowledge and character building are both equally important.
We are all human beings. When you have the knowledge and character, you will also have to learn how to deal with human beings. That is why communication steps in. What form the basis of communication between human beings? We need to understand the basic feelings/emotions of a human being, i.e. psychology. We need to learn how to communicate with people, express ourselves in a certain way, say things that touch the heart of people to get things done. Regardless of negotiating a business deal, getting help from a fellow colleague to get the job done or talking to bosses and superiors to get assistance and instructions, we will definitely have to learn the right way of communicating.
What do you think is important about education?
